How long will it take to ship my order?
Most orders are processed and shipped within 5–7 business days, though many orders ship sooner. If you need your order by a specific date, please email us at shopvelvetbutterfly@gmail.com
and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Once your shipping label has been created, you will receive an email with tracking information. If you have not received tracking details within 5–7 business days of placing your order, please reach out and we will be happy to assist.
When will an item be restocked?
Because many of our pieces are handmade and one of a kind, restocks are not always possible. Once an item is sold, it may be gone for good.
However, we do accept custom commissions and special requests. If there is a piece you love, email shopvelvetbutterfly@gmail.com and we'll let you know what options may be available.
Do you offer size charts?
Many of our garments are created from upcycled materials, and sizing information is not always available from the original manufacturer. For this reason, some products may not have traditional size charts.
To help you find the best fit, we include sizing notes and measurements whenever possible in the product description. Some pieces may fit a range of sizes depending on the fabric and design. If a size chart is available, it will be included in the product photos or description.

Do you accept wholesale orders?
Yes, select items are available for wholesale purchase. Because many of our products are handmade and produced in limited quantities, wholesale availability varies by item.

My tracking shows delivered, but I can't find my package. What should I do?
All orders include tracking information. Once a package is marked as delivered by the shipping carrier, responsibility for the package transfers to the recipient.
We recommend checking with household members, neighbors, apartment offices, mailrooms, and common delivery locations. Please also contact USPS directly, as they may be able to provide additional delivery details.
If package theft is a concern in your area, we recommend shipping to a secure location such as a workplace or P.O. Box. Signature confirmation and additional insurance may be available upon request before your order ships and may require an additional fee.
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
We want you to love your purchase. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please email shopvelvetbutterfly@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery and include your order number along with photos of the issue.
Eligible returns must be requested within 7 days of delivery and items must be returned in unworn, unwashed condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds are issued after the returned item has been received and inspected.
If a sizing issue occurs, we may be able to offer store credit or an exchange when available, provided we are contacted within the 7-day return window.
Please note that because many of our products are handmade and one of a kind, exchanges cannot always be guaranteed. Refund processing may take up to 30 days during periods when we are traveling for events or festivals.
How can I request a custom piece?
Custom commissions are one of our favorite things to create. Whether you're looking for a specific color palette, festival outfit, upcycled creation, or wearable work of art, we'd love to hear your ideas.
